Smoking Implicit Attitude Test
Introduction
Please allow 20 minutes to complete the study
Welcome to the Smoking Implicit Attitude Test.

Thank you for considering participating in our study about attitudes to smoking. The study has now closed. If you wish to use the task below, you are welcome but please read the information below carefully.

The task takes about 20 minutes to complete and was designed to try to tap into your unconscious attitudes to smoking. At the end of the tasks, you'll be shown a score which will reflect these attitudes.

During the tasks you may see some unpleasant images, some might be similar to the types of images frequently seen on cigrette packets in many countries, such as the UK. You should also be aware that some participants have reported feeling less motivated to smoke after completing the experiment.

You must be over 18 to take part.

Please try to make sure you are in a quiet place and that you are not interrupted while taking part.

We will start by asking you some questions about yourself and about your smoking. All information that we collect will be kept completely confidential.

The principal researcher on the study was Dr Jamie Brown.
